4th June 2008 - Release of the 2006-07 New Zealand Health Survey results. DHB estimates from the health survey are to be found in a number of the atlases. There are two new atlases: Oral Health and Primary Health Care, which display new datasets from the survey. Also the Hospitalisations atlas has been renamed Hospital Use to reflect new content from the health survey.

Welcome to PHIOnline
PHIOnline is a tool for the visualisation of health and related information. It displays an interactive map with linked tables and charts which allow data to be viewed in multiple dimensions, and is an alternative way to viewing information.
Information is provided at the District Health Board (DHB) and Territorial Authority (TA) level, and includes New Zealand health survey data, hospitalisations and disease registrations as well as risk behaviour and HEHA related data. It has been developed by Public Health Intelligence, part of the Health & Disability Systems Strategy Directorate (HDSSD) of the Ministry of Health.
Data is displayed in atlases of health topics, as shown below. To open an atlas, select it from the links on the left of this page. If you are not familiar with PHIOnline, please view a demonstration of the site first.

Accessing PHIOnline
PHIOnline works with a Flash plug-in, version 8 or above.. Flash is installed on most computers. However, if you have version 7 or below, or do not have Flash on your PC, you will require an upgrade or an installation. Your IT department will be familiar with this software and will be able to assist.
Alternatively, the Flash plug-in is also freely available from the Adobe web site. Please follow the on-screen instructions for download and installation.
